Zuccardi Finca Canal Uco Paraje Altamira 2013
Overview
Grown in the high-altitude, limestone-rich soils of Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley (1,100 meters above sea level), Finca Canal Uco is one of the ultimate expressions of mountain Malbec from pioneer winemaker Sebastián Zuccardi. Driven by a strict philosophy of expressing pure terroir rather than oak intervention, this landmark single-vineyard bottling relies on native yeast fermentation and concrete vat aging, highlighting the raw energy, chalky mineral structure, and cool-climate freshness of Mendoza's most coveted sub-appellation.
