Terroir & Winemaking
-
Rapel Valley Terroir: Sourced from meticulously selected plots in the Rapel Valley (predominantly the Cachapoal Valley), where the warm Mediterranean climate and cool evening breezes allow Carmenere to ripen slowly and fully—eliminating harsh green notes while enhancing its lush texture and characteristic spice.
-
Bordeaux Craftsmanship: Vinified under the guidance of French winemakers and aged in French oak barrels (a combination of new and second-fill casks) for approximately 12 months, imparting remarkable complexity, structure, and a subtle toasted nuance.
Tasting Profile
-
Appearance: Deep, intense ruby red with dark violet hues.
-
Nose: Expressive and alluringly complex. Opens with prominent aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry, and dark plum, layered with notes of cracked black pepper, sweet roasted bell pepper, dark cocoa, fresh coffee bean, and subtle vanilla.
-
Palate: Medium-to-full-bodied, silky, and coating. Tannins are remarkably soft and rounded, framing a vibrant core of ripe dark fruit balanced by fresh acidity and integrated sweet spice.
-
Finish: Long, velvety, and persistent, leaving lingering impressions of dark chocolate, sweet spices, and black fruits.
