Deakin Estate Merlot has a luscious, fruit driven nose reminiscent of red cherries and plums, with a hint of vanilla and spice. The lovely berry flavours dominating the soft but generous flavours. It has good mid-palate sweetness and a fine-grained finish.

Fermented in sweeping arm Potter fermenters with pump overs designed to extract good colour and soft, round tannins. Pressing and malolactic fermentation were followed by ageing for three months with premium French oak before final blending.
